Privacy policy
Your data is used only to help you get a loan — never sold.
Version 2026-10-v2 · Applies to kredistar.in and the Kredistar app
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who visits kredistar.in, uses the Kredistar app, checks eligibility, applies for a loan, registers an account, registers as a partner or contacts Kredistar Finserv Pvt. Ltd. (“Kredistar”, “we”, “us”), CIN U66190KA2025PTC196445. The website and the app share one secure database, so this single policy covers both.
2. What we collect
- Identity & contact: name, mobile number, email, city and address.
- Loan details you provide: loan type and amount, employment, income and existing EMIs.
- Documents you choose to upload: PAN, masked Aadhaar (we collect only the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar number), bank statements, income proof and property, vehicle, gold or business documents.
- Lender application details: date of birth, PAN, address, employment and income, existing EMIs, collateral and co-applicant details you enter on a lender application.
- Financial Health Tracker (app, optional): self-reported credit score, missed payments, recent enquiries and an optional credit-report upload — collected under a separate consent.
- Technical data: device and browser type, IP address and pages visited, for security and to improve the service.
We collect only what a lender reasonably needs to assess your application.
3. How we use it
To assess eligibility, match you with suitable lenders, submit your application with your consent, keep you updated on its status, answer your queries and — where you have agreed — contact you about your application or relevant loan offers by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
4. Consent & credit checks
Our EMI and eligibility tools do not pull your credit report. A credit bureau enquiry (TransUnion CIBIL, Experian, Equifax or CRIF High Mark) is made by the lender only with your consent when it processes your application. If you use our free CIBIL-check link, you leave Kredistar for our partner HelloCredit, whose own privacy policy applies; we log your consent before redirecting you.
5. AI-generated explanations (app)
If you ask for an AI explanation in the Financial Health Tracker, the numbers you entered and our rule-based results are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the text. Uploaded report files are never sent to the AI.
6. Who we share it with
When you apply to a specific lender, your application and the documents you upload are made available to that lender only — through a secure, key-protected connection (API) or by your advisor — so it can assess your loan. Your details are also recorded in Kredistar’s own CRM so your advisor can follow up. Otherwise, we share data only with the RBI-regulated bank(s) or NBFC(s) you are matched with, solely to process your application, and with service providers that help us operate (hosting, email, messaging) under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal data or share it for unrelated marketing.
7. Cookies & local storage
We do not use advertising cookies on this website by default. We use your browser’s local storage only to remember your last application ID (so you can track it) and, in the app, your sign-in session. If we add analytics or advertising tags in future, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
8. Security & retention
Data travels over HTTPS; passwords are stored as one-way hashes; uploaded documents (PAN, masked Aadhaar, income and bank statements, property or business papers) are stored in a private folder that cannot be opened from a web link, and can be downloaded only by authorised Kredistar staff or the lender you applied to. We never ask for or store your full Aadhaar number. We keep application records for as long as needed to service your application and meet legal and lender record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
9. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent to be contacted, by writing to office@kredistar.in. Withdrawing consent may stop an in-progress application. You may also nominate another person to exercise your rights as permitted by law.
10. Grievance Officer
Questions or complaints about your data: Grievance Officer, contact@kredistar.in, +91 93908 07900, #164, 1st Cross, Judicial Colony, AECS Layout, Sanjaynagara, Bengaluru – 560094. We aim to resolve grievances within 7 working days.
11. Changes
We will post updates here with a new version number. Material changes will be highlighted on the website and in the app.
